My feet could barely touch the ground
and my hands seemed to hold up
As I floated on two wheels
my shadows merging with the names
of the deceased,
written with blood ink
on drunken concrete canyons.
This beautiful day became one that will
be stretched in my memory of you,
breathing to the beat of a constellation
your voice whispered,
nostalgic tunes lost in translation.
The sun ran round in circles
above our heads,
and the walls of the cemetry,
burst into a chorus of songs.
